FAQs
Will this take up more GP time?
No, on the contrary we aim to reduce GP workload through PCN support, IIF projects, and medication reviews. C-Rx pharmacists will liaise with the GP team to discuss patients who require further interventions and to provide feedback regarding service delivery.
Will this increase our workload?
Initially practice workload may increase for instance if the practices patient list require outstanding monitoring in order to be reviewed by the C-Rx team. Once complete, the C-Rx team will be able to schedule reminders and improve any efficiencies in turn reducing workload.
Will we be left with a list of patients to screen?
The C-Rx Pharmacy team will screen and correctly code all patients that we review. Our pharmacists will collaborate with your practice team throughout the time we work together.
We already employ a pharmacist, why do we need you?
Our senior clinical pharmacists routinely work alongside GP practice pharmacists to fully understand where support is needed and where we can add value. Our aim is to collaborate with your existing pharmacy team to further reduce GP workload, improve patient outcomes, deliver key objectives in the Network DES and work towards the goals of the practice.
Do we need to provide any resources?
We provide our team with the resources needed to work remotely including a company laptop and secure VPN connection to the HSCN.
